The First Edition has for sale this wonderful antiquarian book, Alfred Tennyson The Cup and The Falcon published by Macmillan for the first time in 1884.
The original green boards are plain as issued and with gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in Very Good condition with slight knocks to the top and bottom of the spine.
There are 146 numbered pages with the Title Page that states: The Cup and The Falcon by Alfred Lord Tennyson Poet Laureate and dated 1884, and with two pages of advertisements to the end of the book. The pages are very clean and in overall Very Good condition with slight browning to the front free endpaper and the stamp for Jonkheer A.E. Stoop Delft together with a small inscription to the top right corner of this page. There is also slight browning to the rear endpaper. The other pages are exceptionally clean and tightly bound-in.
This is a really lovely example of this Alfred Lord Tennyson first edition book that will make the centrepiece of any poetry book collection.
