The First Edition has for sale the antiquarian book, Alfred Tennyson Ballads and Other Poems. This is a first edition book published by C Kegan Paul & Co [London] in 1880 and comes in the original green blind stamped cloth.
The original publisher’s green binding has blind stamped decorated borders to the front board and to the back board, with gilt lettering to the spine. The boards are in Very Good condition being clean with slight corner knocks and knocks to the top and bottom of the spine.
There are 184 numbered pages with brown endpapers, the Title Page which bears the date of 1880; a Dedication Page to “Alfred Tennyson My Grandson”; a Contents Page which lists the following works in this stunning Alfred Tennyson book:
